FERGUSON PLC ENTRUSTS ITS PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS TO INLUMI CLOUD
inlumi’s engagement with Ferguson began in 2015 with the provision of technical support for their 100 user Oracle Hyperion EPM system located on Ferguson plc’s premises. The strength of the relationship developed over the years with inlumi demonstrating excellent technical knowledge and a good track record in responding to technical support tickets quickly and effectively.
inlumi Cloud
During 2019, as part of an ongoing strategy to move to the Cloud, Ferguson plc decided to investigate the option of moving their on-premise Hyperion Financial Management applications to a Private Cloud. As well as being aligned with the company’s Cloud strategy this would give the benefit of having the hosting and technical support of HFM all managed by a group of highly regarded EPM specialists from the same organisation. Selecting inlumi Managed Cloud enabled Ferguson to attain the benefits of Cloud without having to source, configure and deploy a new SaaS solution with the associated upheaval and cost of change management.
inlumi was selected in Jan 2020 to move the Ferguson plc applications to inlumi Cloud & deliver Private Cloud hosting; managing the underlying infrastructure, server hardware and operating system and Oracle EPM software layers. The project began in February 2020 and went live in May 2020 on time and on budget.
Ferguson plc was impressed by the speed of project execution and although there were some technical issues encountered along the way, these were tackled quickly and with full customer communication throughout. The robust technical design, senior engineers and focused communication approach by inlumi led to a smooth go-live and seamless transition.
inlumi now delivers systems management, regular operational backups and technical application management including patching, database management and monthly system health-check review meetings.
